Feb 24, 2012– We would like to thank the more than 200 doctors, surgeons, nurses and paramedics for attending the "1st STRD"! Special thanks also to the sponsors for making this meeting possible. We are happy to announce the "2nd SWISS TRAUMA & RESUSCITATION DAY" which will take place at Bern University Hospital at the 22nd of February 2013.

Feb 06, 2011 - swiss-trauma.ch has been launched in January 2011 and is meant to be a forum allowing for dialogue between professionals in trauma care. Switzerland is a unique country in the center of Europe with challenging trauma incidents.

Swiss_CountryOur country is geographically divided between the Alps and the Central Plateau spanning an area of approximately 41,000 km2 (16,000 sq mi). While the Alps occupy the greater part of the territory, the Swiss population of approximately 8 million people is mainly concentrated within the Central Plateau, where the largest cities are found. This results in a locally high population density, and with it the concentration of traffic. Furthermore, skiing, snowboarding and mountaineering are among the most popular sports in Switzerland, the nature of our country being particularly suited for such activities.

swiss-trauma.ch is an independent organization providing education, information and communication resources for professionals in trauma and critical care.
